1031-1310 GLUEMAX PAINT TOP COAT

Gluemax Resin; Special Resin Acrylic Modified

Gluemax paint price excluding VAT: 245.00 TL / kg

Gluemax Paint Features

It has the ability to adhere excellently to surfaces such as PP, PE, PVC, Aluminum, and Galvanized without Gluemax Primer application, and can also be applied to surfaces such as Glass and Copper. It provides high physical and chemical resistance to the applied surfaces. It has high UV resistance.

Paint Description

Gluemax paint top coat is a two-component, general-purpose, non-very shiny, top coat paint that can be used on any type of surface.

Areas of Use

Gluemax paint top coat is a special top coat that can be used both as a two-component and as a single-component air-drying. It gives excellent results especially on Copper, Glass, Aluminum, and Galvanized surfaces. It can be easily applied to all mentioned difficult surfaces to meet the desired high corrosion resistance on surfaces other than PP, PE, PVC surfaces.

Special Application:

Before applying Gluemax Top Coat, it is recommended to apply Gluemax Primer paint (1011-1110) to the surface, but Gluemax Top Coat can also be applied directly to the surface. Surface preparation to be done for direct top coat applications is as important as the application itself for the Gluemax system to achieve the expected success. Dirt on the surfaces to be applied with Top Coat such as PP, PE, PVC, Copper, and Glass should be wiped with a clean cloth with a suitable solvent. Any moisture, chloride, sulfate salts, rust, mill scale, according to Swedish Standard SIS 05 5900 should be removed from the surface by grit blasting method at Sa 2 ½ degree or by mechanical method at St 2> standard on metal surfaces. Also, dust, dirt, oil, and grease on metal surfaces should be cleaned with cleaning agents and/or high-pressure water jet. Welding splashes and sharp corners of surfaces should be grinded. Aluminum and Galvanized surfaces should also be examined for the formation of white rust (ZnCO3) and these points should be cleaned by sanding. After cleaning processes, the surface should be cleaned with an electric vacuum cleaner, clean and dry air, or a clean brush. After these cleaning processes, there should be a slight metallic luster on the surface and the application should be applied to the surface preferably immediately, at most within 30 minutes.

First Application:

In applications to be done as single component, after opening the Gluemax Top Coat (1031-1310) package, it is thoroughly mixed preferably with a motorized drill. Glue max Thinner (1051-1410) is added to the mixture in the recommended amount to bring the mixture to the application viscosity. The mixture gives the application viscosity.

Second Application:

In applications to be done as two-component, after opening the Glue max Top Coat paint (1031-1310) package, it is thoroughly mixed and homogenized preferably with a motorized drill, and mixed with the specified amount of Gluemax Hardener (1031-1510). Glue max Thinner (1051-1410) is added to the mixture in the recommended amount to bring the mixture to the application viscosity. The mixture gives the application viscosity. In spray applications, the application viscosity should be adjusted to 18” - 22” / DC4 / 20°C. It is recommended to apply the prepared mixture with a maximum dry film thickness of 35 - 40 µ for increasing corrosion and UV resistance.

During Application:

Air temperature should be between 5°C and 50°C,
Surface temperature to be applied should be between 10°C and 30°C,
Relative humidity should be < 85%.

Important Reminders:

Proper ventilation should be ensured in indoor applications to avoid any health issues or fire hazards. When primer and topcoat are applied together and wet-on-wet application is preferred, it is necessary to wait for at least 60 minutes after primer application, while paying attention to the product specifications of the topcoat. In cases where multiple coats are desired and at least 72 hours have passed between coats, a light sanding should be performed. Proper amounts of mixtures should be prepared according to the application sequence and should be continued until all of the mixture is consumed. After completion of the job, all paint equipment used during application should be thoroughly cleaned with 1451-1401 Epoxy Thinner. The surface should not be exposed to water for at least 36 hours after application. A waiting period of 7 days is required for full curing.
