SOLVENT-FREE EPOXY

Epoxy Structure; Solventless resin

Solvent-Free Epoxy Paint price excluding VAT is 230.00 TL / kg

Epoxy paint coating features

High defense resistance against corrosion and chemicals. Being able to achieve a high film thickness by applying thick layers. Giving a shiny appearance to the surface. Being resistant to acids, petroleum products, water, and solvents. High mechanical strength against abrasion and impacts. Particularly suitable for use in drinking water tanks.

What is epoxy paint;

Solvent-free epoxy is a two-component resin-based, glossy
SOLVENT-FREE final coat paint.

Areas of use for Epoxy Coating

Solvent-Free Epoxy Final Coat is used especially in the protection of all steel and concrete surfaces prone to chemical damage. It is a surface coating system developed for the protection of metal and concrete surfaces against chemical and physical effects. It can be easily used on all surfaces in fertilizer, acid, paper, sugar, and similar chemical industries, refineries, and petrochemical complexes, piers, bridges, pipelines, and treatment plants.

Epoxy Primer Application
Surface Preparation:

Before primer application, Epoksi Shop Primer (1411-1106) should be applied to the surface as a pre-coat primer. The epoxy system can also be easily used as a primer directly on metal surfaces after surface preparation. Surface preparation before direct application to the surface is as important as the application itself for the system to achieve the expected success. Any kind of moisture, chloride, sulfate salts, rust, mill scale, according to Swedish Standard SIS 05 5900 at degree Sa 2 ½, grit blasting method, or by mechanical method at standard St 2, should be removed from metal surfaces. Additionally, dust, dirt, oil, and grease on metal surfaces should be cleaned with cleaning agents and/or high-pressure water jet. Welding splatters and sharp edges of surfaces should be ground. After different cleaning processes, the surface should be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, clean and dry air, or a clean brush. After these processes, there should be a slight metallic sheen on the surface, and preferably, the surface should be applied within 30 minutes, at the latest.

Final Coat Application:

After opening the packaging of Solvent-Free Epoxy Final Coat (1432-1301), it should be thoroughly mixed preferably with a drill motor to homogenize and mixed with the specified amount of Epoxy Hardener (1432-1501). The mixture gives application viscosity. No epoxy thinner is added to the mixture in Solvent-Free Epoxy systems. For Solvent-Free Epoxy Final Coat to provide the expected performance, it is recommended to apply it as the final coat on primers recommended to give at least 150 μ. dry film thickness. If there will be no oil over oil application, a 12-hour waiting period is required for acceptance of the second coat application.

During Application
Air temperature should be between 5°C and 50°C,
Surface temperature to be applied should be between 10°C and 30°C,
Relative humidity should be < 85 %.

Important Reminders:

Adequate ventilation should be provided in closed envsteelments to prevent any health problems or fire hazards during applications. If multiple coats are desired without wet-on-wet application, if 72 hours have passed between coats, light sanding should be performed. Mixtures should be prepared in appropriate amounts according to the job sequence, and the entire mixture should be consumed until the end. After the application, all painting equipment used during the application should be thoroughly cleaned with 1451-1401 Epoxy Thinner. The surface should not be in contact with water for at least 48 hours after application. Before using the painted surface to ensure complete curing, it should be waited for 7 days.
