Antipas paint excluding VAT price 35,00 TL / kg

Antipas Paint Features

Corrosion resistance, Good adhesion to the surface, Easy to sand, Fast drying, Creates a smooth surface for air-dry topcoats to be applied.

Antipas Paint Description

Industrial Primer (Antipas) is a single-component, fast-drying, alkyd resin-based primer.

Antipas Usage Areas

Industrial Primer (Cellulosic primer paint) is developed to prepare a fast and smooth surface for air-dry topcoats applied to metal surfaces used in the manufacturing of various machines and steel structures. It can also be used on any metal surface where the above-mentioned features are expected.

Antipas Paint Application
Surface Preparation:

The surface preparation to achieve the expected success of the industrial system is as important as the application itself. All moisture, chloride, sulfate salts, rust, mill scale on metal surfaces should be removed using grit blasting to Sa 2 ½ degree according to Swedish Standard SIS 05 5900, or mechanically to St 2 standard. Additionally, dust, dirt, oil, and grease on metal surfaces should be cleaned with cleaning agents and/or high-pressure water jet. Welding splashes and sharp corners of surfaces should be ground. After different cleaning processes, the surface should be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, clean and dry air, or a clean brush. There should be a slight metallic sheen on the surface after these processes, and preferably, the primer should be applied immediately, but no later than 45 minutes after this process.

Primer Application:
After opening the packaging of ANTİPAS Primer (1111-1101), it should be mixed well preferably with a drill motor to homogenize and then thinned with Industrial Thinner (1151-1401) to the specified application viscosity. (For spray applications, the application viscosity should be 17”-22” / DC4 / 20°C, for brush and roller applications, it should be adjusted to 25”-40” / DC4 / 20°C). To achieve the expected performance from Industrial Primer, it is recommended to apply at least 50-60 μm dry film thickness. If not applying wet-on-wet, wait 45 minutes for the second coat application to accept the coat. Industrial Primer can be top-coated with: 1131-1201 Industrial Semi-Matt Topcoat 1131-1301 Industrial Topcoat 1231-1201 Synthetic Semi-Matt Topcoat 1231-1301 Synthetic Topcoat

During Application:

The air temperature should be between 5°C and 50°C, the surface temperature should be between 10°C and 30°C, and the relative humidity should be < 85%. Important Reminders: Ensure proper ventilation in enclosed spaces to avoid health problems or fire hazards. If a wet-on-wet application of primer and topcoat is preferred, wait at least 30 minutes after primer application before applying the topcoat, taking into account the product characteristics of the topcoat. If multiple coats are desired without a wet-on-wet application, lightly sand if 48 hours have passed between coats. Prepare appropriate amounts of mixtures for the job and continue the work until the entire mixture is consumed. At the end of the work, thoroughly clean all painting equipment used during the application with 1151-1401 Industrial Thinner. After application, the surface should not come into contact with water for at least 36 hours.
